client: Prague 4 Municipal District & Primary Schools

“The data from the meteo station serves us not only to know what the weather is like outside, but we can also use it as a practical demonstration for pupils to show them how nature works. Measurement results can be used in classes of science, math, physics or information technology. We like that we’re not working with made-up numbers or examples that are difficult to imagine, but with real values that everyone can verify by going outside,” says Marek Franc, Computer Science Teacher from Primary School Školní

  • Air quality and microclimate monitoring

  • Integrating real data into teaching
  • Enriching the educational programme with live examples

  • Planning of outdoor activities and classroom ventilation

“It is still a pilot project, but cooperation with Agdata is going great and practical use in school teaching is a significant benefit, so it is not out of the question, that we will expand the meteo stations to other schools. It is a great benefit not only for the pupils, but also the residents of our district. I imagine that by collecting data from denser network of sensors, we can analyze the causes of air pollution in our neighborhood and better combat them,” says Tomáš Hrdinka, Councillor for Environment and Agenda 21
