Weather Stations Help with Winter Road Maintenance Planning

„We use data from meteo stations especially in winter, when our municipality provides winter maintenance over a wide area. In the past, we have relied solely on general weather forecasts for the entire city. Today, because of the weather stations we have strategically located throughout the borough, we have a much better overview of the weather and the need for intervention during the winter season. All of our weather stations are located on the school buildings, which also allows the schools to work with the data from the weather stations, and thus enrich the teaching with real measurements,“ says Ing.
